On February 20th we arrived back in Kona.
A lot has happened these past 2months, and I'm amazed how fast the weeks flew by. Ministry on this scale can feel like being plugged into a big "God machine" where He's working at lightning speed with little time to actually comprehend all that's happened.

It's said that "outreach" is also "in-reach", meaning that so much of the transformative work also happens within. This is why these final days were critical for us to slow down and take time to process the experience.

It's a lot easier to do that processing in the company of trusted friends, around intimate tables, and with some good food. We would spend our last 3 days in Taipei doing just that; spending time with friends we'd made along the way. However, our main focus was to be transparent with ourselves and one another, reflecting on the good, the bad, and even the ugly.
Taking time is really important.
In addition to our daily debriefs, we committed time to long "in-reach" sessions, gaining incredible insights and wisdom that God had revealed to us. It was clear He'd worked powerfully in depositing fresh vision and direction.
Together we answered introspective questions together, like:
What were your expectations for outreach, and how were they met or not met?
What was the most important thing you learned about God and His character?
What was the hardest or more disappointing part for you?
Where was God in that moment and what was He teaching you?
We learned so much about ourselves. I learned so much about myself. I know I did; about what missions is and isn't, and more about the man God made me, and who He plans to send me to. And I'm so excited to share those revelations with everyone who's invested in my journey. But for now, let's wrap up.

THANK YOU
Thank you everyone for not just believing in me, but for believing in what God is using me for. First, thank you to YWAM, for shepherding me through this mission, and teaching me about how to serve others in Christ-like fashion. Thank you to my incredible team, who sharpened my iron, lent shoulders to lean on, and shared each glory and grief. Thank you to everyone who supported and prayed for me, including my home church family (Higher Ground Church), who fanned the flames to pursue God's plans for me. Thank you to those missionaries already planted in Taiwan, who paved the way for us to reach the community and build upon their hard work. Thank you to those leaders at TKC Church - every branch and kid's camp - for their trust in us to help care for their flocks. Thank you to every person who hosted and fed us, whether Christian or not; showing kindness to strangers in a brand new land. And thank you to those Taiwanese folks with whom we shared a sacred connection, bringing the gospel and praying salvation prayers over.
I want to give an honorable mention to Grace Chen, a YWAM Tamsui leader and guide behind the scenes. We would not have survived without her community profile briefings, and organizing the logistics of travel, lodging, and connecting us to the right people.
GOOD BY (FOR NOW)
I continue to process everything, uncovering so much Godly wisdom that I can't wait to share. Until then I'll be seeing you real, real soon!

"For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen."
ROMANS 11:36
God bless you.
Your brother in Christ,
George
